Remember “The Little Rascals”.

This is Petey with The Little Rascals.  Now, you can go on, on any website, go insane looking for stories of how these kids were in danger working with such Vicious and dangerous animal but i can only suggest you to not to waste your time.

“Nanny Dog” they were so called .. I mean, SERIOUSLY??? Pit bulls??? Nanny Dog??? You see, For generations if you had children and wanted to keep them safe you wanted a pit bull, the dog that was the most reliable of any breed with children or adults. (1)

How good was this dog in temperance test?? Well, In temperance tests (the equivalent of how many times your kid can poke your dog in the eye before he bites him) of all breeds the most tolerant was the Golden Retriever. The second most tolerant was the Pit Bull.(1)

Here are some pics to show how Dangerous they were:

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT???? More tests??? aite … last one, i promise …. just tryin to prove a point here!! So, I read (Yes, i do read alot) ..

According to rigorous testing by The National Canine Temperament Testing Association, the golden retriever, poodle, border collie, English setter, German pointer and numerous other breeds are considered more likely to become aggressive than Pit Bulls. (2)

The average score of the 122 breeds tested was a mere 77 percent. Pit bulls scored a 95.2 percent on these testings. (The higher the better.) (2)

Not only have pit bulls scored extremely well on temperament tests, but they have been serving key roles in search and rescue efforts, excel in agility training and work nationwide as therapy and service dogs. (2)

Speaking of Search n Rescue efforts: I recommend you to read about Weela – The Ken-L-Ration Dog Hero of the Year 1993. She saved 30 people, 29 dogs, 13 horses and a cat during a flood in Southern California. This same heroic dog saved her owner’s son from a rattlesnake. (3)

Read about Popsicle (4), Sergeant Stubby, RCA, or read about TahoeCheyenne, and Dakota they are the search and rescue dogs in Sacramento, California. The three pit bulls worked none stop at the World Trade Center and Pentagon after 9/11. They have participated in over 200 search missions. Also worked the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster, and assisted in the search for Laci Peterson. (5)

Misperceptions about Pit Bulls:

“Absolutely, the No. 1 thing that the public needs to know is that just because an animal shows aggression to another animal, it doesn’t mean they’re dangerous to a person. … Greyhounds rip rabbits to shreds. … A well-bred pit bull can be devastatingly aggressive to other dogs if he’s allowed to be; however, that same dog isn’t necessarily going to be aggressive to other people. I think the important thing for people to know is that these dogs are victims and we need to include them in our circle of compassion.”

Diane Jessup, a pit bull owner & a retired animal control officer in Washington state.

Thanks to our Media and ignorant people, this breed was transformed from “The Nannies of America” to “Some Dogs are Weapons – Ban Them”.

This is all i can say, weapons are used in two ways, if given in the hands of a protector you feel safe and if found in the hands of a criminal ….. well then that becomes an issue. You don’t ban the weapon …. you punish the user for wrongfully using it. Pit Bulls rule!!!!!! and so does all the other breeds. 🙂
